چکیده
The rift section of the Brazilian basins represent sedimentary record associated with first stages Gondwana break-up in Early Cretaceous phase (Berriasian to Aptian). succession Campos Basin constitutes one main petroleum systems Brazil’s marginal basins. This interval contains source rock and important reservoirs Lagoa Feia Group deposits. is characterized by siliciclastic, carbonate evaporite sediments deposited during post-rift phases. Despite economic relevance, little known stratigraphic terms regarding this interval. To date, most studies have adopted a lithostratigraphic approach, while study proposes tectonostratigraphic framework for deep-rift (Lagoa Group), using fundamentals seismic sequence stratigraphy. work also aims establish methodological practical procedure analysis basins, data seismofacies, focusing on tectonicstratigraphic analysis. dataset comprised 2D lines, core lithological logs from exploration wells. Three facies were identified based reflector patterns lithologic well cores, providing an improved subdivision pre-, syn- stages. syn-rift stage was further subdivided geometric reflectors. Tectonics controlling factor succession, pattern geometry reflectors allowed identification three tectonic tracts: (i) Rift Initiation Systems Tract; (ii) High Tectonic Activity Tract (iii) Low Tract.

Sequence stratigraphy and depositional environment of the Oligocene deposits at Firozabad section, southwest of Iran based on microfacies analysis
The Asmari Formation was deposited in the foreland basin of southwest Iran (Zagros Basin). Carbonate sequences of the Asmari Formation consist mainly of large benthic foraminifera along with other skeletal and non-skeletal components. Three assemblage zones have been recognized by distribution of these large foraminifera in the study area that indicate Oligocene age (Rupelian-Chattian). Absence...
متن کاملTectono-stratigraphic signature of multiphased rifting on divergent margins (deep-offshore southwest Iberia, North Atlantic)
[1] Regional 2D multichannel seismic, borehole, dredge and outcrop data, together with burial models for strata in southwest Iberia, are used to investigate the tectono-stratigraphic signature of multiphased rifting on divergent margins. Our burial model reveals that Mesozoic extension occurred during three main phases, each comprising distinct subsidence pulses separated by short-lived periods...
متن کاملPalynofacies-based sequence stratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous strata (Abderaz Formation) in east of Koppeh-Dagh Basin, Northeast of Iran
The Upper Cretaceous strata were studied in a composite stratigraphic section named here Padeha-Baghak section in east of Koppeh-Dagh basin, north east of Iran. In this study, palynostratigraphy, palynofacies and depositional environment history of Abderaz Formation were integrated with sequence stratigraphy. Determination of sea level history and sequence units of the Abderaz Formation using s...

15 صفحه اولForeland basin stratigraphic control on thrust belt evolution
The link between orogenic activity and foreland basin stratigraphy is well established; however, potential controls by foreland basin stratigraphy on thrust belt architecture have not been fully evaluated. Mechanical properties of typical foreland basin stratigraphic successions influence the structural development of fold-thrust belts in predictable ways. Fundamental features of foreland basin...
